Krkic’s long term future lies with Stoke
Bojan Krkic isn’t the most highly rated forwards in Europe or the most proactive one but he has still managed to earn the support of the managerial staff of Stoke City.
In 20 games, Bojan Krkic has scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist which is not as impressive in comparison to other players in the world of football but nonetheless, it seems to have been enough for him to sign a contract extension with the Premier League club which will be keeping him in the club at least until 2020.
Even though the goal-scoring output of Bojan Krkic is not really an imposing one and his playing time in the pitch is really on and off, he still seems to be happy in having extended his contract with Stoke City as he said: "I am very happy and motivated. Stoke City gave me the opportunity to play in the most competitive league in the world, and I have only words of gratitude for their trust and for the way they have treated me.’’
"Mark Hughes convinced me to come to Stoke; he has helped me and showed his trust in me from the beginning. He followed closely the recovery process from my injury and there is no doubt I have signed an extension of my contract thanks to him."
Bojan’s career has gone from being one of the most promising young talents of Europe to having to settle with what has been a fairly mediocre playing career. When he first burst on to the scene he was being tipped for the very top, with some pundits getting a little carried away by saying that they wanted StanJames to give odds on him breaking the goalscoring record at Barcelona.
Where the Spanish player has not lived up to the expectations of the media with underwhelming performances with AC Milan, AS Roma and Ajax but from the looks of it, he has settled in with Stoke City.
