KRKIC: ROMA CAREER EXAMINED
Spanish forward BojanKrkic was a hot prospect when he burst onto the scene at Barcelona but he was unable to realise his huge potentials as shown while he came through the famed La Masia Academy at the club to make his debut for the first team at the Nou Camp. After failing to break into the starting XI at Barcelona, BojanKrkic was sold to Italian capital team AS Roma in 2011 for €12m.
Barcelona inserted a buyback clause in the transfer that took BojanKrkic to Italy around a decade ago. The buyback clause gave Barcelona the option to sign him back one year later or compulsorily two years later. Roma were required to pay €28m if they want to keep the forward at the club. His debut came against Vasas in Budapest, Hungary. His first goal didn't arrive until October 2011 when he found the back of the net off an assist from club legend Daniele De Rossi against Atalanta. In his one and only season at AS Roma, BojanKrkic scored seven goals in 33 games in the Italian Serie A.
Roma loaned him out to fellow Italian team for the 2012/13 season. Barcelona announced that the switch to Milan won't affect the buyback option. Milan also confirmed throughchief executive Adriano Galliani that an agreement has been made for Milan to sign him at the end of his loan spell with them if he becomes a hit at the San Siro and that Barcelona would still retain their buyback clause. His Milan debut came in the 3-1 away victory over Bologna in September 2012. BojanKrkic came on as a substitute in the second half of that Bologna game. His first goal for the Rossoneri came two months later in the 5-1 thrashing of Chievo Verona with Bojan netting the third Milan goal.. In total, he scored three goals in 19 league games for Milan before returning to Barcelona in the summer of 2013 in a €13m deal.
