After being linked with any exit for much of the summer, it looks like Yaya Touré will stay at Manchester City for the time being.

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has confirmed that his star forward Bojan Krkic is all set to return from a long spell on the sidelines.

The former Barcelona forward was a star signing for the club last summer. He was expected to take a long time to accommodate to the physical style of English football, but it happened much sooner than expected. Just when it seemed that Bojan Krkic was set to take the league by storm, a long-term injury sidelined him for much of the 2014-15 season. Even without the star asset, Stoke were able to enjoy a good campaign.

Mark Hughes says that he expects star striker Bojan Krkic to return to first-team action by the start of next season.

The Stoke City forward was extremely unlikely to get a cruciate ligament injury at a time when he was just starting to find his feet at the club. The former Barcelona man was widely expected to struggle when it was announced that he was going to play for Stoke City – a team known for its physical style of football. Even though Hughes has been trying to change this aspect about the club, it largely remains a work in progress.

"We couldn't have asked for a better finish to a really great season. The level of performance in that first 45 minutes was exceptional and I don't think it reflects badly on Liverpool. I think most teams would have struggled to cope with the quality and intensity of our play.’’

This was the statement that was released by Mark Hughes as he praised the work and performance that his players displayed during the last match of the season of Stoke City as they locked horns with Liverpool and came out as the victorious side with a resounding 6-1 triumph.

Bojan Krkic suffered a major injury just at the right time when he looked like settling into the Stoke City team and into the Premier League as well.

Signed from Barcelona last summer, it was seen as a major gamble from Mark Hughes to sign a player who may not have seen the physical side of the game until now.Krkic has the experience of playing only in the Spanish and Italian leagues before joining Stoke City. It took him a couple of months to get his game going, but just prior to being injured back towards the end of January he had scored three goals in five games.

BojanKrkic made his way past the youth academy of Barcelona in blazing form as the Spanish footballer is believed to have scored over 900 goals during his time in the youth division of the club and this was why he was promoted to the main team at the age of 17.
